ETD1VSNH1_EPIPHONE De Luxe Round Hole -  The Epiphone De Luxe is a beautiful modern take on a a classic 30's archtop acoustic design. With a classic feel and look but modern playability and control this guitar is the best of both worlds coming together to give you a great experience and a stunning sound.

Classic Design

The Epiphone De Luxe really does have a classic look about it. With a single round hole the solid Spruce top this guitar brings together flattop and archtop designs to create a loud and resonant instrument with a lot of warm low end. It is not all aesthetic though with the De Luxe having vintage Logitudinal bracing which gives it a very different feel and response to modern X bracing inspired designs.

Natural Pickup Sound

While back in the 30's this design would have been loud enough to have been heard over any other band that is not the case anymore. Now you need to be amplified for pretty much every venue so Epiphone hid a very powerful Sonic HD Preamp with Nanoflex HD Pickup in this guitar so you can use it live without having all kinds of controls popping out of the side of your guitar.

Both the volume and tone controls are hidden in the soundhole so you can use your guitar live with easy access to your controls. This setup sounds great through both an acoustic amp or a PA system meaning you can rock up to any gig and get an astounding sound.
Here's what Epiphone say about the De Luxe Round Hole Guitar

The Masterbilt Century Collection's De Luxe and De Luxe Classic recreate the iconic Epiphone full-body archtop tone that made the House of Stathopoulo world renowned. Epiphone's original archtops were designed to be heard over a big band and the new Masterbilt Century De Luxe (round hole) and De Luxe Classic (f-hole) carry on that tradition with a big natural sound and elegant style.

The Solid Spruce top has classic longitudinal bracing and the deep tone of the De Luxe and De Luxe Classic can be heard through a mic or amplified with a specially designed eSonic HD preamp and Shadow NanoFlex HD Under-saddle pickup electronics with mounted controls for Volume and Master Tone. Both the De Luxe and De Luxe Classic feature an Ebony fingerboard with large "notched diamond" inlays, beautiful 3-ply Ivory/Black binding, a recreation of the vintage Epiphone headstock with "mother of pearl" banner inlays, bone nut, and historic aged nickel Epiphone 18:1 tuners. The Masterbilt Century Deluxe archtops are available in both a Vintage Natural and Vintage Sunburst aged gloss finish. The optional De Luxe Masterbilt Century Hard Case comes in a beautiful Russet Brown modeled to look like the original leather-covered Masterbilt cases from the 1930s.
